How to Use the Scientific Calculator

  1. Tap the buttons or type an expression such as 2^3 + sqrt(16).
  2. Use Deg or Rad to choose how angles are measured.
  3. Press = (or Enter) to get the answer. Ans re-uses the last result.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I calculate a percentage on a scientific calculator?

Multiply by the percentage and divide by 100, for example 250 × 15 ÷ 100. The % key does the division by 100 for you.

Why is sin(90) not 1?

The calculator is probably in radian mode. Switch to Deg to work with angles in degrees.
